April Cornell's colorful designs grace products that range from clothing to home décor accessories, but her first love is textiles. Her passion for the home arts and making an occasion of everyday is reflected in her rich use of color and luxurious texture.

A native of Montreal, Canada, April has traveled the world over seeking design inspiration. Drawing from locales ranging from Paris, India, Portugal, Hong Kong, Afghanistan, and the Cayman Islands to British Columbia, she combines international style and inspirations from nature in the fabrics she designs for Moda. April’s designs are noted for their beauty and translation into creating a calm, peaceful and tranquil feeling that enriches life and makes a woman feel great about herself and her environment. Each collection of fabrics for Moda is designed with inspiring combinations of color and pattern making it a joy for quilters to work with.

Long known for her original clothing lines for women and girls, April’s designs can be seen on quilts, linens and textiles, area rugs, tapestries, quilting fabrics, books, kitchen accessories, glassware, and gifts.

April has a passion for philanthropy, actively supporting the Concern India Foundation and serving as a trustee of the Giving World Foundation. The programs funded by the foundations help to educate children, promote self-sufficiency, and to break the poverty cycle. April divides her time between homes in Burlington, Vermont, and Delhi, India. She is the mother of three sons and is enjoying her first grandchild.
