Liz Scott grew up drawing horses and crafting latch hook rugs of unicorns, Scottie dogs and Care Bears. Liz could often be found inventing her own creative games as well, like arranging her Crayolas in perfect order on the floor before using them to color each word of the expired TV Guides a different color until she had pages and pages of rainbows. After graduating with honors from Michigan State University, Liz pursued graphic design at Portfolio Center in Atlanta. In her career as a designer, she has worked for boutique design firms as well as major international corporations, creating everything from greeting cards for Hallmark to layouts for craft magazines, and is currently working out of her home studio as a freelance surface designer, developing patterns for contemporary stationery, notebooks, office accessories and of course, textiles! Liz strives for personal expression over perfection in her work, and is drawn to all things bold and graphic. She loves unexpected color palettes, optical illusions, repetition and attention to detail. Liz makes her home in Los Angeles with her husband, Ryan and their cat, Zipper. They are expecting their first child in July 2010 and are currently busy preparing for all the fun and excitement she will bring them!
